Customer security questionnaires often arrive at a busy point in a sale. Preparation helps the team give answers that are accurate, consistent, and supported by the way the business operates.

Build a small evidence pack

Map the service, the information it handles, and the suppliers involved. Keep current policies and recent examples of access reviews, backup checks, change approvals, and incident processes where the responsible people can find them.

Match the answer to reality

A policy describes an intention; evidence shows whether the process operates. If a control is still being introduced, explain the gap and the plan. Check that the questionnaire, contract, and public website make consistent claims. A careful answer is easier to defend than a confident answer the delivery team cannot support.
