An AI management system, often called an AIMS, helps an organization decide how AI should be used and how that use will be supervised. Leadership does not need to memorize every technical term to ask useful questions.
Start with responsibility
Who approves a new use? What information supports the decision? Who responds if sensitive data reaches an unapproved tool or an output causes a problem? The answers should be clear enough to explain in an ordinary management meeting.
Keep decisions current
Agree what happens when a supplier, model, or intended use changes. Keep a concise record of approvals and reviews. This gives management, IT, and customer facing teams a consistent account of how the organization uses AI and who is responsible for it.
